BAIS confirms support for homeworking and business continuity

Updated: Oct 8, 2020

Leading insurance system provider, BAIS, is offering additional resources as part of its commitment to help the industry with homeworking arrangements.

The company’s ibais system is used by intermediaries across the industry. With most moving to homeworking and the likelihood of this being mandated by the government, the BAIS team is making itself available at any time to help businesses with this process.

All clients have been able to use ibais on any device for some time, however, the Coronavirus situation is forcing intermediaries to establish homeworking at short notice. Clients should be aware that there is no need to install any software, so it is easy to set up on people’s personal devices. Management are still able to maintain full control of people’s access and ensure the business remains compliant.

As we enter another challenging time, insurance brokers and underwriting agencies are needed by our community. We are here to do everything we can to support their service delivery and ensure they are able to work from wherever they need to. Set up typically takes a 3-5 minutes and there are easy to follow instructions online.

Everyone has enough to worry about without being burdened by challenges in setting up their insurance system for use at home.

To ensure on-going support and system reliability, the BAIS team, all based in Sydney, is able to work from home and they are following all the Government medical advice for keeping safe.
